Jane
Kelly's usual motto in life is never trust anyone
too handsome....but she's willing to make an exception
when Jasper "Jazz" Purcell, son of one of Lake
Chinook's wealthiest and most famously eccentric
families, asks for her help.
Jane accepts and from what she can tell:
the Purcell family all want grandma/matriarch
Orchid Purcell's money; they all hate each other
(but not as much as they hate Jane); and they're
all hiding some pretty big secrets. And while
Jane's diving into their strange history, she
realizes Jazz is becoming interested in her. This
is a good thing, right?
Then
Jane and her mentor Dwayne Durbin have a few intense
brushes with sexual tension and Jane -- hating
herself all the way! -- starts harboring new feelings
for him. She KNOWS this is a bad idea, but can't
seem to put the brakes on.....until an older woman
with designs on Dwayne tries to steal him away
from her. Now, Jane has to choose -- Jazz, Dwayne,
or a continuation of a non-romantic, single life
with her pug, The Binkster.
And
then Orchid turns up in a pool of blood -- and
all the Purcell family's ELECTRIC
BLUE blue eyes turn accusingly
toward Jane.

a newly minted "information specialist" supposed
to do?
